Microsoft Live Folders

MS finally rolls out free online storage service Live Folders, after months of thunder with no rains. You will be amazed how user-unfriendly it is. It's not acceptable, even as a product in beta.

The uploading file interface contains 5 FileUpload controls, hah!

Once a file is uploaded, you can't move it to another folder, brilliant!

It took me 4 page loads to rename a file; definitely no Ajax there for you! And it actually takes many page loads to do all the other common tasks you would imagine.

And now comes to my favorite part, the images used are either gif or jpeg. Gif is technology of last century; while jpeg is the last format I would pick for icon files.

5 minutes of using MS Live Folders, and that was my feelings. Getting out as quickly as possible, I'd rather stick to my GmailFS for the timing being.
