Microsoft's new ad campaign starring Bill Gates and Jerry Seinfeld really embarrasses me as a viewer, and it should embarrass Seinfeld 100 times more. Rumors say he is fired from his job, and I cheer for the person who fired him.

Google Chrome: Not a Disappointment Nor Blow-Away
The search giant launches a browser, Google Chrome. Things all start to make sense to me NOW. A rumor was long spread about Google upto its own operating system, which sounded fantastic but unrealistic. Now the rumor finally came true, with a slight deviation - a browser. A browser is as important to me as an operating system nowadays, because all our web 'applications' live in those browsers.
The browser at the same time also made the mobile browser on android very logical. I remeber writing about Google's seemed-odd choice of WebKit over Gecko for its Android plantform. I did figured out some reasons like iPhone compatability, but never did I thought of the bigger scene behind - a browser. One more step closer to the dark side, and one more step closer too, to a point that we will die if Google ever falls to the dark side.
Waited for the whole day when I was on leave sitting in front of computer (not that I took leave for the Chrome since I found out just that morning), it didn't came out. Too bad that I was in a timezone 12 hours earlier than the US, we always had to wait for stuff 12 hours more than the forks on the other half of the globe. Well, it did came out the next moring though, when I quickly typed in the well memorized link google.com/chrome to download a copy.
All I have to say is, it's great. It has some great technologies, such as the one-process-per-page concept. It has some good design choices, such as the tab bar on top instead of inside the window, and the seriously redesigned 'New Tab' page. I'm quite happy with it and I'm sure I will be checking updates regularly. I actually start to worry about how much longer Firefox can stay as my favorit browser. However none of the features blew me away like once the 1 giga byte mailbox did.
And hence the conclusion, Google Chrome - Not a Disappointment Nor Blow-Away
